Call for 2017-18 Internship Projects has been extended

Would you like to give an outstanding undergraduate student the opportunity to use some of the most advanced computing facilities in Australia? Are you interested in exploring new research or workflows on Pawsey Supercomputing Centre infrastructure? If so, we are seeking projects for the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre Research Summer Internship program.

The Pawsey Summer Internship welcomes proposals for internship projects suited to a 10-week period over November 2017 to February 2018. Selected undergraduate students (3rd and 4th year and honours students) will receive up to $6,000 tax-free over the 10-week internship.

Nominated projects must clearly demonstrate that the intern will be involved in exploring aspects of supercomputing, cloud computing, large-scale storage, data analytics, high-speed communications or scientific visualisation and must utilise Pawsey Supercomputing Centre resources.

Projects can come from any research field and should be submitted before 14th August. Be aware that students applications will open from August 1st, the sooner the projects are listed, the more students will see them when applying.

Sponsored positions can be accommodated from research, industry and/or government. In previous years, sponsorship of Summer Internship projects allowed the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre to increase the number of available places.
