Tech ToGetHER: Visualising your own Data: How did you sleep last week?

8 March 2022
12:30pm - 2:30pm

As part of International Women’s Day, Edith Cowan University is inviting girls in Years 10, 11, or 12 to join us for a day of ‘courses, careers, and connections’. Women from Perth’s STEM industries will be providing 2- hour workshops at various CBD locations. Each presenter will share stories about their industry; outline their career journey including accreditation processes; concluding with some fun hands-on activities that give you an indication of their job.

Visualising your own Data: How did you sleep last week?

How well do you sleep at night? Is how well you sleep at night impacted by your diet, exercise, use of digital devices like your phone?

Answer these questions and more – then compare yourself to students your same age – by joining this interactive session on something we all love to do – sleep.

During this session, you’ll be completing an online sleep survey and then you’ll be comparing your answers (your data) with others through the use of graphs. You’ll have the opportunity to create your own graphs and tell your own stories in this session.

Interested in stretching yourself? Figure out what to do when your data – your story – is challenged from something out-of-the-ordinary? What is the data really saying – might there be a twist in the story?

This event will be held in-person at ARRC – 26 Dick Perry Avenue, Kensington WA
