Tutorial: Developing HPC codes on ARM by John Linford
3:00pm - 5:00pm
As part of the International GPU Hackathon, a series of GPU experts will be visiting Perth from different coordinates. Pawsey is organising a series of talks by representatives from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, ARM and the University of Illinois.
After his presentation to a general public, and only for a selective group, John Linford will be running a tutorial on HPC codes on ARM.
John is currently Principal Applications Engineer at Arm. Creative scientist, analyst, software engineer, consultant, tutor, and presenter with a talent for improving software run-time performance. Expert in extreme scale software engineering, high performance computing, code modernization, and multi-core and accelerated architectures (NVIDIA GPUs, Intel Xeon Phi, FPGA, etc.). Excited about open-source and open-standards technologies for large-scale computation (e.g. OpenACC, OpenCL, OpenSHMEM, etc.) and portable real-time applications.
Spaces are limited and registrations are required since attendant will need access to some external training resources.
