GEOGRAPHY is playing a major part in a growth industry that would otherwise likely bypass a relatively small and isolated economy like Western Australia’s.

It is, perhaps, a convergence of needs, technological change, risk aversion, some decades-old policy decisions and the unusual demands of local industry that have made the state particularly attractive to those seeking to build a data centre.
