Supercomputing Application Specialist for Radio Astronomy
You will undertake R&D activities to optimise the software pipelines and leverage the latest HPC technology capabilities of the new Pawsey Supercomputing System, Setonix.
You will prepare the Australian SKA Pathfinder (ASKAP) software pipelines for Exascale, making them run more efficiently, greatly benefitting the overall science output. ASKAP is CSIRO’s new-technology radio telescope, a precursor for the SKA, the most ambitious and challenging radio telescope project in the world.
