2023 Allocations

Pawsey is proud to provide Australian researchers with allocations in 2023 on Setonix – the world’s 4th greenest supercomputer and 15th most powerful.

Pawsey researchers have received allocations in the following schemes:

  • National Merit Allocation Scheme (NCMAS)
  • Pawsey Partner Scheme

Altogether there are 227 allocations awarded to researchers from Australia’s universities, research institutions and State and Federal government research organisations.

1 billion CPU core hours and 0.5 billion GPU compute unit hours have been allocated in 2023 through various schemes.

Researchers can reach new scales of their science with some allocations reaching 100M core hours scale and average allocations size increase of nearly four times compared with Magnus in 2021.

More information about Setonix resources and Service Units model introduced in 2023 allocation round: https://support.pawsey.org.au/documentation/display/US/Changes+in+Supercomputing+Services+for+2023

Congratulations to all researchers awarded with compute time on Setonix
