Visualisation

Scientific data visualisation allows researchers to better understand their raw data and translate it into meaningful forms.

Applying visualisation techniques to complicated datasets can require specialist hardware, such as high-end graphics cards for handling large datasets in real time, novel display technologies to fully exploit the human visual system and user interface devices to facilitate the interaction.

The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre Visualisation team provides a package of hardware, software and expertise, to tackle the whole range of visualisation activities.

The team offers the following services to our researchers:

  • Linux-based Remote visualisation on Topaz
  • Windows-based Remote visualisation on Nebula
  • Visualisation Lab
  • Visualisation expertise
