Intern Call for Projects – EXTENDED

Project submissions will now close 30 August 2019 at 5pm WST.

Over a 10-week period occurring between Monday, 25 November 2019 to Friday, 14 February 2020, Pawsey will host a group of talented undergraduate students (3rd & 4th year and honours students, Masters) to participate in projects related to high-performance computing (HPC).

Who can submit projects?

All researchers can submit a project proposal. Researchers from all domains and from across Australia are encouraged to apply.

Any Australian researcher can submit a proposal that makes use of one or more of the following areas:

Note: Researchers do not need to be current Pawsey users. Pawsey will grant modest resource allocation to successful projects.

Who are the students?

Pawsey staff will work with researchers to identify appropriate student candidates for accepted projects.

Successful project PIs can nominate suitable students to work on their projects. These candidates will be reviewed by Pawsey along with all applicants.

Selected students will receive a stipend based on a CSOF 1.1 level for the 10-week internship. The stipend is funded by Pawsey and managed by CSIRO.

Interstate projects are strongly encouraged, and Pawsey has funds to help support some travel costs.
