Ocean-dynamics

Using the nimbus cloud environment enhanced my data analysis of a wide range of ocean and atmospheric model products. Setting up and using remote access for jupyter notebooks was used to teach students and demonstrate usage of python and numerical methods. At the same time, setting apache webserver provided the capability of serving online data and web pages.

The Challenge

Using nimbus was a perfect solution, it is not MPI big numerical cpu task (I use Magnus for that) while remote analysis via jupyter notebook server proved an effective way of teaching and pos-processing. Uptime of cloud machines proved to be crucial for usage.

Keep using and expanding nimbus capability in the future.
